All About this Plan

FSSAI of (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) is an authority that grants the quality of the food or edible ingredients are up to the mark. It is a 14 digit license number which is the mark of quality. This helps to grow your business enhancing reliability among men. Food Licensing and Registration System (FLRS) is a process that has to submit an application online to get registered. After receiving the application, it has been processed in a secured data center named NIC (National Informatics Centre).

q What is food licensing of FSSAI Approval registration?

FSSAI registration is crucial in order to be reliable to the customers. When a customer buys a good, he wants to get some authentication. q How many varieties are available on FSSAI registration?
  • Basic License Registration (yearly turnover up to 12 Lakhs)
  • State License Registration (yearly turnover from 13 lakh to 20 crores)

q What is the validity of the FSSAI License?
  • The license is valid for one year and the maximum you can apply for 5 years of validity. Within 30 days of the expiry of the license, application for renewal is essential.
  • What if I have two separate food business?
  • You have to apply for the FSSAI registration for both types of foods.
  • If you have two separate business under you proprietorship, you have to apply for separate registrations.
q What are the steps to follow to have the FSSAI License?
  1. Part A of the application is to be done on FSSAI website and payments to be done
  2. Form B to be filled with a required declaration about your food, maintenance, and quality assurance. These are to be drafted by a CA and the Company Secretariat.
  3. On submission of all applications, and related documents, you will be provided a reference number which is to use for all future correspondence.
  4. The application will then be reviewed by the department of FSSAI. The field of food processing and its quality will be justified for different food ingredients before certification or using the FSSAI registration number. The entire process takes about 30 days.
